I think this is such a cool affordable thing to do and I can see it going down a treat. I mean for most people, you either like sweets, chocolate or both and it keeps the hunger at bay until the meal is served, a great idea I think.

Yeah, I have that problem too, chocolate and a bottle of wine, that's me happy for the night.

I love the sweets idea, but thinking of going with the candles and having one candle for each couple/family there!

I've got candles at quite a few weddings and have a small collection of them now, I've never used any of them just kept them as keepsakes. I got a different one the last time I was at a wedding, trolley token keyring in a little organza bag with a bow, from the Marie Keating Foundation. It's lovely, but again I haven't used it.

I got the Marie Keating trolley tokens at 2 weddings and both me and mum use them, they are for a great cause and dead handy when you don't have change.

Im not sure if we'l have favours yet but my sil did a lovely idea for their wedding. She just got those coloured organza bags, very reasonable everywhere & then put in a bunch of the love heart sweets. didnt cost a fortune & everyone had a great time reading all the hearts too.

That's a very simple but nice and inexpensive way of doing things and I think most people like the love heart sweets. God well done to her for good ideas.

Thats's totally right! The sweets will be eaten and don't risk to collect dust in some place like many 'useless' gifts do...
