Re: evening entertainment
Its good to have things reflecting your personalities in the wedding, im hoping ot get our personalities into teh wedding in other ways. My personality will be written all over the wedding as I am doing the most of the planning, but h2b personality will come through aswell in places, will probably get him to do tablenames or something in hotel. have plenty of time to figure it out anways!

Just had to comment on the wonderful pics of Donabate...it looks practically tropical in those photos.
Personally, I wouldn't go for a comedian...but that is just me. A comedian prevents people from talking, whereas music, people can dance, or choose to chat amongst themselves.
Part of the fun of going to a wedding is to talk to people you know but might not have seen in ages, or to meet new people.

I have to say the pics of Donabate are fab, thats the angle we are taking for the evening entertainment that its a change for people to relax and get a chat, especially in the queue for the food!!

What is the normal thing does anyone know? Do you have a band and DJ or just one or the other, I'm getting alot of mixed reactions from friends and family as to what we should have. Do we really need both?

I was talking to a girl in work yesterday and she was saying that the band she had provided DJ services after the band finished, is this usually the way they do it, and do they charge extra for doing this? It would probably work out cheaper I suppose.
