I try to never sleep on an argument either, I always try to sort it out even if its a just saying sorry and giving him a hug, even if I still dont believe that Im wrong!

I know they say to do that but I do sometimes sleep on it because by the morning I will have calmed down and usually the situation doesn't seem as bad.
