Re: Dress shopping
I got my dress in Bridal Boutique in Cork, they have new dresses aswell and pre loved. Their fantastic in there so helpful and honest plus the prices are so reasonable and they'll buy back your wedding dress.

Re: Dress shopping
I'm way to early to go dress shopping yet as my wedding is May 2 years from now but I have ideas of what I want and I do intend going shopping early and giving myself plenty of time to try and grab a bargain.

That's a great idea, you know what it's like a lot of people will buy you things that you don't need and spend ages trying to decide what to get, so this would help some of them out in that way, easy decision made.

We are just going to ask everyone coming to give us a token present of money no matter how small it is, it will be a big help to us. We know money is tight for a lot of people so as we say
like tesco "every little helps".
There will always be some that will just but presents, and it is always nice to get 1 or 2 gifts that you can keep to remind you of your special day.

A few euros from all the guests no matter how small like that it all ads up and god knows we all need it. Even with prices gone down everywhere it still is quite expensive even for a moderate wedding.

Re: Dress shopping
I still havent got my dress and been looking at quite a few. I know what style I want now and will probably go for ivory rather than white. Ive decided that over the next few months when ever the notion takes me im going to go and try on a few dresses in shops around dublin and then if I see one I like within my price range I'll get my mum to come down and see it.
Lucy - im thinking of burgundy for my bridesmaids aswell!! Have you had any luck finding any. Ive found so far that its really only bridal/bridesmaid shops that have that colour!

Re: Dress shopping
I went with my sis and had a look around at the weekend, saw some beautiful dresses and 3 looked really good on me, the only thing is they were all a good bit out of my price range. I think I'll have to increase the dress budget, cos I'm not scrimping on that.
