Got church & venue booked

Postby grogmg » Mon Aug 09, 2010 9:07 pm

Got my church and venue booked for 27th October 2012!!!

Booked it when I was home on holidays there last week. Really glad have our dates sorted now and can start looking at other things like bands and photographers with a definate date and venue. Can start thinking about fillingin the blanks during the day and what exactly we would like to do/happen!

Thats why we love it!! It has an L shaped function room that holds 160 people, but if we keep it under 140 they dont have to open the wing for the meal, and then they will open it for the afters to allow more space and a bigger dance floor!

It just ticked all the boxes for us, though we havent got a definate price per head yet :? that is going to be discussed in 2012 when we start finalising things, but we just loved the place so much and we plan on having a small wedding now, and origionally budgeted for a large wedding so price shouldnt affect us too much, but they do some brill deals and I really clicked with the manager and such a homely place to go to!

yea i could get the homely feel from the pictures on the net. its great that you dont have to be moved out of the room for the band set up. i'd say you'll get a great deal from them :)

you still have lots of time fgirl, sure there are people who organise weddings in 6 months or less so you do have breathing space. also if you trust your h2b enough to do some of the planning you could give him a list with a few jobs on it to give you a hand

once you have a church or registrar booked so you and your h2b can say your vows and become man and wife, everything else after that is an extra or bonus, so try not to worry too much. i'm sure everything will fall into place for you in the end :sunny:
