i dont think i'd like the idea of a bridal shower, i'm not even mad on the idea of hen parties (well the ones with LOTS of drink, strippers etc) i'd ideally love to have a joint weekend away with a few friends, my h2b and some of his friends. during the day boys go off to do their thing, and us girls go to a spa or something. then evening time we all meet up and go for a meal and some drinks.....h2b really likes the idea too

Yeh, would far prefare the joint one, would be some craic! Going on a hen in June, looking forward to it, its in Westport, dont know whats happening at it, but will let you all know what it was like!!!

i'm sure we're all looking forward to hearing about the hen. i've never been on one myself

the day after i posted saying i'd never been to one i got invited to my frind's hen. so i'm off out tomorrow night (more of a girls night out rather than willy straws and l plates )

well there was l plates but no straws i had an absolute ball, i havent danced and sang so much in a long time. it was great meeting so many new people, i went out knowing only the bride my only mistake was i came home from work showered and went back out so never had a chance to eat anything, drinking on an empty stomach was not a good idea, i paid the price yesterday morning
