Wedding Menu
Just to get the food and drink section going
I thought i'd post up what i'm having on my menu in the hotel.
Starters; fantail of melon or prawn and wild irish salmon cocktail.
Soup; Cream of Country Vegetable.
Main; Rib of beef with homemade Yorkshire puddings and Chasseur sauce with horseraddish.
or Roast stuffed loin of pork with an apple and courgette chutney.
Dessert; Baked Alaska or Chocolate Marquise + duo of sauces.
And of course Tea and Coffee to finnish!
What sort of food would you deffinitely have on your menu? How many courses would you prefer? And how much wine do you think should be served to the guests throughout dinner?

Re: Wedding Menu
oh i'd love baked alaska on our menu, its my mam's favourite dessert
i think 3 courses + tea/coffee is plenty.
thats what we're having too. our starters is soup, mains we're having ham&turkey with the usual trimmings, medley of desserts.
ours is from an all in. package
regards to wine, i wouldnt worry too much over it. if the wine isnt there to begin with people wont miss it and they'll just order there own drinks

Yeah that's what h2b said aswell about the wine! Ours was kind of an all in package aswell where the food is concerned, and wine is a part of it so we're grand. It's only costing us €2350 for the meal (60ppl), wine, evening food (100ppl) and our room for the night!

Yeats' County Inn, Curry, Co. Sligo. It's a bit old fashioned and dark, small (as in only a restaurant, bar and a few rooms upstairs!) but this is perfect for us because we're having loads of candles on the tables and a fairylight backdrop behind the top table! We're having chair covers and sashes on all the chairs aswell, to brighten it up a bit.

No, it's between Tubbercurry and Charlestown. Way out of Sligo itself, out in the bog with the country folk!
