Id love a 3 or 4 layered cake with biscuit, madera, chocolate and fruit, though Im a bit of a chocolate cake fan and not everyone else is so might end up leaving that out! But haven really priced cakes at all yet, though was looking at different cakes on the net and a bit at the wedding & honeymoon show and the ones I like tend to be around 600-800 euro!!!!

Re: Cakes??
Cakes can be very expensive...I would love to find someone near me that makes cakes at home and pay them....There is an awful hike in the shops with the prices of cakes....
Did anyone look at the cakes in M&S...
I think they are a good idea if you dont want to spend big money on one and they look stunning too....

Let me know how you get on, Im interested in their gluten free cakes as h2b mam is a coelac and would love to give her a cake. H2b sis got a small cake for mob and mog at her wedding they were lovely and I though were such a lovely idea. They were sitting bside the main wedding cake so everyone saw them aswell!

Re: Cakes??
Ah thats good, because im in Donegal im kinda stuck with people for cakes as dont want them to travel too far with the cake, but also dont want to be charged a fortune for delivery either. Im guna try a few bakers in the north aswell as leitrim and sligo, looking at ideas at the min so that when I go to them with my idea I will know if they can do it for me or not and then get different quotes.
Im thinking of looking for a baker this time next year, is that too early to start looking?
