girls I joined Slimming world 5 wks ago and have 9 lbs off already. I had a bad week in there somewhere but its great if anyone is wanting to shift a few lbs before the big day!

What is Slimming world??? I have never heard of it before?

it is like weight watchers but with a slightly different method.

Personally, (and I don't wish to be too negative) in my opinion all these slimming clubs take your money and yes, you will lose weight if you stick to their plans, but you end up obsessed with food and what you can and can't have and then eventually you end up falling off the wagon and putting all the weight back on again, but I guess as a quick fix for the big day it is worth doing.

I disagree. Slimming clubs can be a supportive way to lose weight.

I would say that the group element of the likes of slimming world and ww is very good, iv kinda changed my mind about ww as one of the girls I used to go to school with started on ww during the summer and has lost a load of weight and looks absolutly stunning, hadnt seen her since the summer wo when I seen her last she was her usual size 16+ and she is no a size 10/12 and looks fab, couldnt get over it when I seen her at xmas, so proud of her!

i swear by slimming world! i joined last year when i got engaged & have so far managed to lose 5 stone. Slimming world is more of a lifestyle change than a diet. I cant recommend it enough! its just a pity there isn't more clubs in Ireland!
