Best Man Wedding Speech Sample 1

If I could have everyone's attention for just a moment please, my name is
(----) and I am the Best man,

Just in case any of you hadn’t figured that out by now, and traditionally I’m supposed to make a speech, although God knows why as most guests at a wedding prefer to be subjected to eating food and drinking rather that listen to me rabbit on for hours, so look I promise to be the best man in the world and keep it very short, I’m also the best liar in the world in case you didn’t know.

So here goes, I'd like to propose a toast to the happy couple. But before I do, I'd like to say a few words about these two wonderful people who have been joined in matrimony here today.

I've known (groom) all my life. He's been my best friend and partner in crime since we were small. I remember when we were rambunctious little boys who climbed trees and played in the dirt. At that time, we thought girls were yucky -- I think we can both safely say we're glad that opinion has changed! Throughout the years, (groom) has stood by me through thick and thin, and I am honoured to call him my friend.

When he met (bride), I knew that she was a very special woman. Being with her filled him with so much joy and happiness that he had to make sure it was forever. These two were made for each other -- I couldn't have chosen a better bride for (Groom) if I'd tried!

Before we raise our glasses to (groom and bride), I'd like to offer these few words of advice to my friend, the groom:

(Groom) -- always be sure to pick up the wet towels from the shower.

Never go to bed angry...always stay up and argue.

Always remember the three little words..."You're right dear."

Keep the lid down and lastly the best way to remember your anniversary is to forget it once.

Remember these and you'll be a very happy man.

So Let's raise our glasses as we toast this happy couple:

May you both live as long as you want,

And never want as long as you live.

Congratulations, (Bride and Groom)!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your celebration today as well as the rest of your lives together!
